Bought these at the beginning of school for my 9 year old to replace last year's model. New Balance is one of the few shoes that comes in widths large enough to accommodate orthotics without looking like an orthopedic shoe. Great fit and service. Runs true to size, although the extra wide will also be wide in the heel not just the instep.
