As Advertised - I have wide feet with a high arch, and mild plantar fasciitis. I also have a herniated disk in the lumbar region that sometimes makes walking painful and makes standing still *very* painful. I took these Classics out for a spin, and they seem to work as advertised. They moderately stretched my plantar fascia and hamstrings, and my back felt much better -- my lower back muscles didn't seize up like they usually do. The sole is pretty stealthy, too. I felt like a Native American stalking game on the prairie. My guess is that these would be great shoes for athletes, to ensure against hamstring pulls.
